MTG-To Boldly Go League

About this event

Magic Presents: To Boldly Go is a casual Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Sealed League running November 13 through December 24, 2026.

JOINING THE LEAGUE

Purchase 6 Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Play Boosters to create your starting Sealed pool. There is no separate league entry fee.

You’ll receive a Starfleet player insignia used to track your progress throughout the league.

Players keep their cards and league deck. Anime Kat does not store individual league pools.

HOW THE LEAGUE WORKS

Begin at Starfleet Academy and complete 3 best-of-one games using the special Academy rules.

After completing the Academy, you gain access to the four quadrants: • Alpha • Beta • Gamma • Delta

Each quadrant has its own special rules. You may complete the quadrants in any order.

Complete 3 qualifying games in a quadrant to earn that quadrant’s rank pip. Anime Kat staff will give you the rank-pip sticker when you earn it.

Complete Starfleet Academy plus all four quadrants for a total of 15 games to reach the rank of Captain.

OPPONENT RULE

Each 3-game Academy or quadrant section must include at least 2 different opponents.

No more than 2 games against the same opponent count toward the same section.

You may play that opponent again while working on a different quadrant.

RECORDING GAMES

Both players must be entered in the active To Boldly Go event in Wizards EventLink.

After completing a qualifying game, bring your player insignia to Anime Kat staff. Staff will sign the appropriate section of the insignia.

BUILDING YOUR DECK

Normal Sealed deck-building rules apply.

You may rebuild your deck between games using any cards currently in your league pool.

Only cards opened for your To Boldly Go league pool may be used in your league deck. Do not add cards from your personal collection, trades, purchases, or other products.

Anime Kat will provide basic lands as needed.

Anime Kat is using the honor system for league card pools. We are not registering or storing individual card pools, so players are responsible for keeping their league pool separate and using only eligible cards.

ADDING BOOSTERS

Each time you complete 3 games in a quadrant and earn its rank pip, you earn the option to purchase 1 additional Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Play Booster and add those cards to your league pool.

The additional booster is optional. You may save the purchase for later.

When the booster is purchased, Anime Kat staff will initial or check the corresponding rank pip to show that quadrant’s booster has been redeemed.

QUADRANT MILESTONE PRIZES

Complete all 3 games in a quadrant to receive: • 1 rank pip • 1 older Magic Promo Pack, while supplies last

There are four quadrant milestones, so a player may earn up to 4 Anime Kat milestone Promo Packs during the league.

CAPTAIN REWARD

Complete all 15 games and reach the rank of Captain to receive the official Magic Presents: To Boldly Go Solemn Simulacrum promo, while supplies last.

The Captain promo is not added to your league card pool.

WHEN CAN I PLAY?

Friday from 6–11 PM is the league’s specific organized-play time.

League games may also be played any time Anime Kat is open, provided another league player and table space are available.

Games counting toward Anime Kat’s league must be played at Anime Kat.

CAN I JOIN LATE?

Yes. Players may join after November 13 while league materials are available.

The league ends December 24, 2026. Anime Kat closes at 3 PM on December 24. Games and unfinished league progress cannot be completed after the league ends.

LOST YOUR INSIGNIA?

Talk to Anime Kat staff. We’ll reconstruct your progress as reasonably as possible rather than requiring you to restart.
