- ➤ On Wednesday, nearly 150 community members met at Field Arts & Events Hall with April Messenger and National Park Ranger Chris Erickson to share feedback on a new Hurricane Ridge Lodge project planned after the 2023 fire. Construction can begin in 2028 and may take two-three years due to weather. Peninsula Daily News

- ➤ Port Townsend commissioners voted to pursue a 50-50 grant to fund improvements at the Jefferson County International Airport industrial site, including a new fuel storage tank project slated to start mid-May & expected to be ready for aircraft owners by mid-July. Peninsula Daily News

- ➤ Port Angeles will sell its historic fire hall (215 S. Lincoln St.) to boost affordable housing as developers gather creative proposals. Developers can attend a walkthrough at 1 p.m. Jan. 26 and submit proposals by 5 p.m. Feb. 13. Peninsula Daily News
