- ➤ A section of the underground heritage tour was remodeled and dedicated to local advocate Jackson Smart on Wednesday beneath Sound Bikes + Kayaks. He discovered murals in 1989 and helped spark the tour that now features vintage photos and new displays. Peninsula Daily News

- ➤ Matthew McVay of Bayside Landscaping and Pruning is trimming an overgrown gum tree in Port Angeles today with a gas-powered pole saw for pre-sap season maintenance; he advises pruning now before the sap starts moving. Peninsula Daily News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Emergency management officials held a tsunami preparedness presentation at Field Arts Events Hall Tuesday night to show residents how to prepare for tsunami threats. They warned that a major Cascadia earthquake could send waves to Port Angeles, advising people to seek high ground and keep emergency supplies ready. Peninsula Daily News
