- ➤ The Fair Advisory Board approved plans to use a $250,000 grant to upgrade the rodeo arena before the Aug. 20-23 fair, focusing on improvements to cattle chutes, catch pens, and lighting, along with revised veterinary checks, camping rules + service animal access. - ➤ The Michael Trebert Chapter of the DAR, supported by Trail Life USA and Heritage Girls, retired 1,900 U.S. flags and 1,360 veterans wreaths at a recent ceremony. Local veterans groups and over 100 residents joined the annual event — honoring service. Peninsula Daily News
