- ➤ Four Sequim teens are competing for royalty at the Irrigation Festival pageant, scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at Sequim High School Auditorium (533 N. Sequim Ave). Contestants will earn scholarships and represent the festival during its 131st year. Peninsula Daily News

- ➤ OTA executive director David Herbelin resigned his role to focus on family and undergo additional cancer treatment — he will act as a part-time consultant to complete key projects as the board plans to fill the position. Peninsula Daily News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe will begin constructing a 15,740 sqft dental clinic in Sequim this summer—pending its psychiatric center completion and permitting approval. The new clinic is set to nearly double daily appointments for children and adults and is expected to take about 12 months. Peninsula Daily News
