  • Today and this weekend, the North Olympic Peninsula hosts cultural events; an art auction at the Cotton Building in Port Townsend runs Saturday-Sunday, Port Angeles features a debut theater show and symphony concert, and fundraisers, lectures and book sales fill other local venues.  Peninsula Daily News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Amazon received its final permit from the City to build a 58,322 sqft facility on 25.6 acres at West Edgewood and South Critchfield Road; it must meet 14 conditions (dust control, stormwater permit, road improvements) during a construction period of 8 months that will create about 70 jobs.  My Clallam County

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Joe DeScala (4PA founder) told Port Angeles city council that his team removed over 400,000 lbs of trash from abandoned encampments in 4.5 years, including 40,000 lbs in late 2025. He urged the council to adopt a reporting system as cleanup continues six days a week to protect waterways.  My Clallam County

  • North Olympic Healthcare Network in Port Angeles named Terri Sabella as its next chief executive officer after a national search+ she will start on May 18 and help expand community health; outgoing CEO Michael Maxwell praised her skills.  My Clallam County
