- ➤ On Tuesday, March 25, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 36-year-old Port Angeles man for stealing copper and equipment worth about $500 from All Weather Heating and Cooling’s fenced storage yard on Kemp Street after surveillance captured him entering after closing time—he has been linked to repeated thefts over the past month and now faces burglary and theft charges. - ➤ The 2024 timber revenue report shows Jefferson County earned about $951,000 (well below its 10-year average) while Clallam County collected about $6.2 million (near its average). Officials said the lower revenue was caused by smaller timber harvests and legal pauses, and the DNR will reconfigure sales to help make up for future shortfalls. Peninsula Daily News
- ➤ The Bonneville Power Administration and Clallam County PUD met Wednesday to discuss upgrades for the 24-mile power line between Port Angeles and Sappho after frequent outages affected about 6,500 customers due to fallen trees.
