  • On Thursday, Clallam PUD reported that a scammer posing as a PUD employee visited a Diamond Point home and claimed the customer needed to pay to avoid disconnection — the scammer took the customer's credit card information and left.  My Clallam County

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Port Angeles School District announced that kindergarten registration for next school year opened Monday and families with children turning five on or before September 1 must return completed packets with age proof and immunization records. Packet pick-up is available at each elementary school or online — transportation details will be provided in August.  My Clallam County

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents planning summer backcountry trips in Olympic National Park must reserve wilderness permits starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15. Permits are required for overnight trips from May 15 to October 15 and can be reserved online or by contacting the Wilderness Information Center (360-565-2992 or email at [email protected]).  My Clallam County
