Port Angeles' Clallam County Fair will add sensory-friendly options this year after receiving an $87,000 grant from the Dept. of Social and Health Services.

County Parks Director Don Crawford and volunteer Erin Kirkland said fairgoers can check out bags with noise-canceling headphones and weighted lap blankets, and take breaks in an art barn or sensory inclusive trailer.

A section of the Olympic Discovery Trail east of Port Angeles reopened today after crews cleared debris from a landslide, allowing walking and cycling between the Rayonier Mill site and the Morse Creek trestle at Four Seasons Ranch.

Crews from City Parks & Recreation and Public Works removed debris after a March 24 landslide closed the trail between Rayonier Mill and Four Seasons Ranch; the Olympic Discovery Trail reopened Wednesday & is now safe for pedestrians & cyclists.
