Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 21st of April.
Good morning, Port Angeles.
🌲 Environment
International Dark Sky Week is celebrated today through April 28 to raise awareness on how bright outdoor lighting harms wildlife and human health—volunteers recommend using shielded, warm-colored lights to reduce glare.
🏛️ Government
Clallam County PUD commissioners updated their meter policy to let customers choose a digital meter (one that does not send wireless signals) when their analog meter fails due to limited parts.
The change means residents can avoid smart meters without a new fee while meter readers continue bi-monthly checks.
