- ➤ At about 5:54 p.m. Friday, a Sequim motorcycle rider lost control on Highway 104 near U.S. 101 and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle—he wore a helmet, no drugs or alcohol were detected, and his motorcycle was destroyed. Peninsula Daily News

- ➤ Olympic Synthetic Products in Sequim makes strong, hand-cut slings and will finish 12 for the Port of Port Townsend’s 30-ton Travelift arriving in May—its slings also serve Port Angeles and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. - ➤ At Dave Snyder’s Lil’ Norway Track Meet on April 21, Port Angeles High School athletes posted strong results including junior Brody Pierce winning the triple jump with a state top-five mark and teammates setting new personal bests — former Roughrider Jack Gladfelter qualified for NAIA Nationals while local Jelissa Julmist signed with Park University and the soccer team beat Kingston 4-2.
