Marine researchers tracking Kara's satellite tag reported the 16-foot great white shark reappeared off La Push today.
The tag pinged after a month since its last detection off northern California and scientists say the movement is likely linked to the shark following seals and sea lions.
🏛️ Government
Olympic National Park seeks proposals to operate all visitor services at Kalaloch Lodge—covering the lodge, food, beverage, retail, campground, and firewood over a 10-year contract.
Proposals are due electronically by August 3 and the current contract ends Sept. 30, 2027.

Peninsula College in Port Angeles named James Williamson as its new athletic director today, replacing longtime AD Rick Ross.
Williamson (former head coach at Northwest Nazarene University and assistant coach with Gonzaga) brings valuable soccer expertise to the Pirates’ sports programs.
