- ➤ Environmental activists raised $32,000 via GoFundMe to spare two acres of trees at Sadie Creek Campground near Joyce by paying Bruce Webster to delay logging (for now). The DNR may start a legal process, but without a lasting deal, the land could be logged again in two years. My Clallam County

- ➤ Clallam County Public Utility District No. 1 declared a stage 2 water alert for Carlsborg, Evergreen, Panoramic Heights, and Port Angeles Composite water systems after state drought measures expanded on May 14. Customers are urged to conserve water and fix leaks (example faucets and toilets) to manage the shortage. Peninsula Daily News
