- ➤ Peninsula College announced changes for the 2026–2027 academic year, set to cut three programs (Administrative Office Systems, Paralegal, Multimedia) and pause the Automotive Service Technician and Family Life Education programs this Fall while keeping Construction Trades open with updated resources. Temporary furloughs for higher-earning employees will start in July. My Clallam County
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Public comments are welcomed on Ecology’s draft report about the K Ply cleanup at the Marine Drive site used as a mill from 1926 to 2011; diesel levels in groundwater remain high and the Port will gather data to decide on further cleanup. Submit input by midnight on June 15. My Clallam County
- ➤ NOAA is inviting public comment on its draft management plan for the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary to guide management for the next five to 10 years. The (60-day public comment period) runs through July 11 and allows submissions online or by mail at its Port Angeles office. Peninsula Daily News
