- ➤ Port Angeles Food Bank has introduced Comfort Café meals—11 entrees including chili stuffed potatoes, Northwest burrito bowls and weeknight Tuscan ribolitta—to boost its food assistance program with a buy one, donate one plan; each $12 meal purchased donates one meal that will be available at the market or mobile market at 632 N. Oakridge Drive, with orders placed online by Friday picked up the following Tuesday. The food bank is also seeking grant funding to expand the program beyond Port Angeles. Peninsula Daily News
- ➤ Colleen Williams, a Port Angeles resident, won a 2025 Toyota Corolla when her duck ticket was drawn during the record-breaking 36th Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby on Sunday at City Pier. - ➤ Sally Jung, 73, lost control of her 2008 Ford Mustang at 8:37 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 101 at Bagley Creek Road and rolled in a ditch—she was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is in satisfactory condition while drugs, alcohol and speed were factors. Peninsula Daily News
