  • Healthy Families may face a 30% budget cut—about $250,000—by June 30 if additional funding does not reduce the shortfall, with the nonprofit serving more domestic violence, sexual assault, and crime victims this past year.   • A free, all-day event called Gather and Dance: A Day of Movement in Memory of Mary Marcial will be held on Saturday, June 14, with dance classes for all ages starting at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 10:00 p.m.—the festivities include a remembrance ceremony and open reception featuring local band Tuff Puffins, honoring the late dance instructor who died a year ago after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  My Clallam County

  • Wendy Bart, the CEO of the Olympic Peninsula YMCA, broke ground on a new Early Learning Center in Port Angeles on Wednesday afternoon at a site west of its parking lot to address a local child care shortage — the 8000 square foot center will serve children under five from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is expected to open in September 2026.  Peninsula Daily News
