- ➤ Daryl Knuth asked local residents to open their homes and offer meals for seven veterans who will pass through Sequim as part of the Warrior Bike program later this summer—this journey of 3700 miles starts in Washington, D.C. and ends in La Push, and the veterans travel at their own pace so community support is needed for lodging and a welcoming reception at the finish. - ➤ Sequim Middle School students in the Core Plus Instruction program built a new gazebo outside Olympic Peninsula Academy using supplies donated by Port of Port Angeles, Hartnagel Building Supply, and the Sequim Sunrise Rotary Club + they received certificates on June 2 for their work. The program will expand to three sections next school year as it continues to build skills and community ties. Peninsula Daily News
