- ➤ Clallam County became the first in Washington to start a jail healthcare program with its Reentry Demonstration Initiative that launched on July 1, and the county will receive Medicaid reimbursement for essential health services provided to eligible inmates. Rich Meier was hired as project coordinator (to meet state benchmarks) and a new clinical services department will coordinate both medical and behavioral care (to improve reentry outcomes).
