Good morning, Port Angeles.

Long lines formed at Civic Field and Shane Park on Sunday when the city distributed bottled water to residents affected by a Do Not Drink advisory after a fuel spill in Indian Creek.

The city partnered with Clallam County to add fill-up stations at Salt Creek Recreation Area (3506 Camp Hayden Road) and Dungeness Recreation Area (554 Voice of America West Road) to ease wait times as water tests continue.

Vintage at Sequim, one of five apartment complexes owned by Vintage Housing and managed by FPI Management, was sued by the state Attorney General last month for allegedly misleading low-income seniors by not fully disclosing rent calculation methods and misrepresenting building quality and amenities—complaint details were filed in Snohomish County Superior Court. Corporate officials denied the allegations and said they will address the issues in court.

Port Angeles officials said a Do Not Drink order remains in effect for all water customers after a fuel tanker accident in Indian Creek on July 18 because ongoing tests have delayed confirming tap water safety, and free bottled water was given Sunday at Civic Field (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Shane Park (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
