- ➤ Port Angeles officials will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Board Room at the Clallam County Courthouse to vote on a charter amendment that creates a water resources specialist role. The amendment would require the Department of Community Development to contract a specialist—selected through competitive bidding—to gather and share water data, with any changes needing voter approval. - ➤ Work crews have begun emergency repairs on U.S. Highway 101 near Kalaloch Campground today after a failed culvert and erosion closed the southbound lane, and drivers must now use alternating single lanes under temporary signals. - ➤ The Clallam County commissioners are asking Port Angeles residents to join 'For' and 'Against' committees to help draft arguments on a proposed charter amendment that would remove the statement about the prosecuting attorney from Section 4.20.
