- ➤ Peninsula College in Port Angeles will receive $150,000 from the state to purchase a CNC machine + handheld routers for its construction technology program. - ➤ Public access to the Elwha River estuary remains open after a fuel spill in Indian Creek, the state Department of Ecology said, and a unified command of federal, tribal, state, local and company officials confirmed that cleanup and monitoring continue so the Paddle to Elwha event will go on as planned (teams worked at the spill spot as of 7 p.m. Wednesday) (no downstream habitats or nearshore areas have been affected).
