- ➤ On Monday at 9:05 p.m., Kenneth Krom drove his 2018 Chevy Camaro into another vehicle on U.S. Highway 101 west of Sequim, sending his passenger to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles—authorities cited DUI and speed as factors. Peninsula Daily News
- ➤ On Sunday, Port Angeles Coast Guard crews and Canadian teams rescued two passengers from the Ruby Princess west of Cape Flattery after the ship radioed a medical emergency—one, a 52-year-old woman placed on life support after cardiac arrest, and the other, a 99-year-old man who suffered an esophageal blockage. - ➤ Port Angeles Boat Haven tenants and boat house owners must remove or fix all expanded polystyrene foam from their vessels and property within two years or face daily fines, officials said as they updated the port policy to comply with state law. Commissioners also extended groundwater monitoring at the former K-Ply mill and set plans for taxiway repairs at the airport using a $61 million FAA grant and other funds. Peninsula Daily News
