- ➤ City officials approved Amazon’s environmental mitigation measures for a 58,322-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility on a 25.6-acre parcel at the northwest corner of West Edgewood Drive and South Critchfield Road in Port Angeles — the building permit is still under review as additional details are needed. - ➤ Deputy Police Chief Jason Viada said that police recovered the ATM and a stolen truck after a suspect tried removing the machine from a fuel station on September 5th around 3:35 a.m.—the suspect fled on foot and officers continue their search. My Clallam County
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Wall That Heals—a three-quarter sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial—will arrive at the Port Townsend American Legion Tuesday morning and be moved by volunteers to Jefferson County for healing ceremonies honoring local veterans. The 375-foot wall carries 58,281 engraved names and will be featured with a veteran procession at 12:30 p.m., a candlelit ceremony on Friday at 8 p.m. and a closing ceremony on Sept 14 at 1:45 p.m. Peninsula Daily News
