West declared a Stage III Water Shortage yesterday — the Elwha River flowed below 300 CFS for five days, and the City Council then imposed restrictions that ban non-essential water uses like washing vehicles, irrigating lawns, and hosing paved areas. - ➤ First Fed named Curt Queyrouze as president and CEO effective Sept. 17, replacing interim CEO Geri Bullard. The board said Queyrouze was picked for his strong work history and he will earn a $550,000 salary and a $100,000 bonus—while the bank faces a $106 million lawsuit over a Ponzi scheme. - ➤ The Harvest of Hope Wine — Dinner Gala will be held on Sept. 27 at Guy Cole Event Center in Sequim to raise funds for a new 3D Clarix Breast Specimen Imager that will help Olympic Medical Center perform advanced breast cancer surgeries.
