- ➤ Clallam County commissioners approved a resolution from the Clallam Conservation District to charge up to $5 per parcel per year starting in 2026, despite public comments opposing it. The fee will support clean water, wildlife habitat and local farms and is set to end Dec. 31 at 11:59 p.m.—with first-year revenue estimated at $194,621. Peninsula Daily News
- ➤ The Port of Port Angeles hosted a meeting on Tuesday where state representatives and local port officials honored Sen. Mike Chapman with the WPPA Compass Award for his work on public port partnerships and rural job growth. Port commissioners also reviewed the draft 2026 capital budget and discussed changes to policies on delinquent accounts and state transportation proposals along U.S. Highway 101. Peninsula Daily News
