Olympic National Park will remove the temporary bridge connecting Quinault North Shore Road with South Shore Road on Thursday.
The removal will ease restoration efforts after winter storm risks pass, and during repairs, access to Graves Creek will be available only via South Shore Road.
The Olympic Interagency Fire Management Team began burning debris piles in maintenance areas at Elwha, Mora and Quinault to reduce wildfire risks and protect key infrastructure.
The burns will finish by November and may create smoke visible along nearby trails.
