Organizers canceled the light-hanging event due to poor weather and unsafe ladder conditions and have rescheduled it for Saturday, October 25 from 1–4 p.m. Volunteers for the event will receive a free Fall Crawl ticket to join the downtown party from 5–8 p.m.

Composite Recycling Technology Center in Port Angeles uses recycled carbon fiber and local Western hemlock to make products like pickleball nets, braces and wood panels for affordable homes.

The nonprofit will work with local tribes and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to test portable housing and train workers — a project that may boost jobs and green building — as it expands production.
