- ➤ Composite Recycling Technology Center in Port Angeles uses recycled carbon fiber and local Western hemlock to make products like pickleball nets, braces and wood panels for affordable homes. The nonprofit will work with local tribes and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to test portable housing and train workers — a project that may boost jobs and green building — as it expands production.
