WSDOT said Friday, Oct.
23 the new Elwha River Bridge is structurally stable with three 5-foot shafts set 20 feet into bedrock, and that erosion left a 15-foot gap to a non-structural fascia wall. WSDOT says it monitored the west bank, refined protection options with the Tribe, and will meet.

Rivalry week pits Port Angeles against Sequim in volleyball, girls soccer, and football, with the football game airing Friday night on KONP Newsradio.
Port Angeles is favored in soccer and football while Sequim is favored in volleyball, and Port Angeles qualified both cross-country teams for districts.
