ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fire outside Olympic Tire on November 10th severed a main fiber line and caused a widespread internet outage that disrupted service at the county courthouse and other sites—transformers on a nearby pole were fried and Astound is working to restore connectivity without an estimated time of return. - ➤ Ron Charles, an S’Klallam tribal leader, will share his new book My Heart Is Good—detailing how the Boldt Decision reshaped tribal fishing rights and led to co-management of fisheries—at three events next week, including a 12:35 p.m. talk at Peninsula College Longhouse in Port Angeles, a 4 p.m. meeting at Friends Meetinghouse in Port Townsend, and a 4 p.m. session at Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe Culture Day in Kingston.
