- ➤ Health officials reported that influenza cases are rising in Clallam and Jefferson counties, urging anyone 6 months and older to get vaccinated as the H3N2 strain spreads and older residents face more severe illness. They also confirmed a backyard flock in Jefferson County tested positive for avian flu—advising poultry owners to take precautions while noting there is no human-to-human transmission.
