- ➤ Forks city attorney Rod Fleck warned that repeated 8-12 hour power outages from BPA lines are slowing economic growth on the West End & stalled plans for a secondary transmission line add to local challenges. - ➤ Heavy rainfall has forced closures in Olympic National Park and Forest, with campgrounds closed and some roads, including the North Fork Quinault Road, shut down. Crews will assess damage and begin cleanup as more rain is expected this week. My Clallam County
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Clallam County is seeking up to $50,000 in state grant funding to preserve the Port Crescent Pioneer Cemetery, a historic site honoring military veterans and early settlers. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Clallam County Health and Human Services issued a no-contact advisory for Port Angeles Harbor through Thursday after a 3,300-gallon treatment bypass on Monday, advising residents to avoid water contact for at least 48 hours.
