- ➤ Joyce-based CresComm WiFi says proposed FCC changes would disrupt its fixed wireless service in rural communities including Forks, Joyce, and Lake Sutherland. The company’s CEO sent a letter last week asking the commission to keep the current CBRS rules to support reliable broadband. Peninsula Daily News

- ➤ An anonymous donor will match donations to Field Arts and Events Hall through December, doubling contributions up to $200,000 to support artistic and accessibility programs. Field Hall has received about $50,000 so far, and donations can be made online or at the box office (201 W Front Street) when open. My Clallam County

- ➤ Stevens Middle School students uncovered a time capsule buried in 1989 during campus construction and found items such as a phone book+TV Guide and photos. The accidental discovery by a local contractor has spurred plans for a new capsule at the soon-to-open Hurricane Ridge Middle School in 2028. Peninsula Daily News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hill Street in Port Angeles reopened to traffic today after being closed since Dec. 17 due to heavy rainfall that triggered a landslide. City crews cleaned debris and installed protective fencing, but the Olympic Discovery Trail remains closed between Hill Street and Marine Drive until debris settles. Peninsula Daily News
